Second ICT awards Held

19-May-08::  President John Agyekum Kufuor on Saturday said the healthy partnership between the private sector and Government was yielding positive strides in the development of Information Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure and services in the country.

Guido and others remembered

19-May-08::  During the programme a minute of silence was held to commemorate the memories of three personality the ICT community lost namely – Guido Sohne, software guru, Julianna Kaufmann, a Telecom expert and Fred Nutsugah secretary of parliament committee on communication. In his speech, His Excellence President John Agyekum Kuffour said " I convery my condolences to the bereaved family, friends and compatriot of the late Guido Sohne, the distinguished software engineer who made a mark on the International Scene.

Ghana's communication backbone completed

28-Mar-08::  The first phase of the national optic fibre communication backbone project to reduce the cost of communication and other related services in the country has been completed. The first phase, which is dubbed the Southern Loop with an extension to Tamale, is currently on trial.

Second Ghana ICT Awards launched

25-Mar-08::  The provision of modern telecommunication infrastructure is key to the development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry and the economy. It is for this reason that efforts are being made to provide broadband infrastructure through the construction of the National Optic fibre Communication backbone to reduce the cost of communication and other related services.
